opinions appreciated....

Did any of you admits have C's on your transcript?

i have a C+ for both freshmen math+science (both honors classes)

A C+ for sophomore math (AP stat) though i got a 4 on the AP

and right now i'm pulling a C+ in Calc (though i might be able to pull it up to a B - )

most of my other grades are As/ B+'s , with a definite upward trend. my GPA has gone up about .4 between each grade level. i have never taken a non-honors or AP class in high school, and i'm taking five AP classes this year. SATs of 2250 and nmsf.

i know stanford doesnt use frosh / senior grades, but am i just hoping for too much?

thanks!

I don't believe that your freshman C's will be too harmful but to tell you the truth i really have no idea because my report was simply all A's except two B's for french
(yes they were all honor courses too) but still I only got 2160 on my SAT so I don't think they'll cause too much trouble as long as you show them that you have improved quite a lot!
Also trust me you should not put too much hope on one single university cuz you never know just who might accept you :)

Freshman C's shouldnt be a problem. However, C's in gr. 11, especially in an academic course like calc, could hurt. Remember how competitive admissions is.
