I've decided that I will do my undergraduate studies in the University of Hong Kong. Asia happens to be my area of interest but ultimately I'd like to return to the US to get an MBA. Are there different circumstances/criteria for students who attended college in a different country? I know this is a bit of a generalization here but I believe colleges here tend to have grade inflation when compared to universities worldwide. Will this be taken into account when the GPA is reviewed?

I understand that experience is probably the most important component in the application but I'd like to know if there are other factors I should be aware of considering I'll be getting my undergraduate degree from a different country. I'll be an international student in the US too if that makes any difference.

Any comments/suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
