<p>Hello,</p>

<p>I'm currently applying as a transfer applicant to UF but will have UCF as a back up. Although I'm hoping to be accepted to UF, I'm taking other schools into consideration. If it was necessary, I would end up choosing UCF or possibly USF. I know, there's been numerous threads before about which is better but I do need an overall outlook. I need to know which is more academically well rounded and which gains more respect or national attention, if you will, outside of Florida. Obviously I understand they can't compare to the larger universities (such as UF) but as a plan B, I'd like to choose the next best school.</p>

<p>Some things that might be useful: I'm hoping to be an English major with an emphasis in creative writing, with a minor, possibly in film studies.</p>

<p>I'm aware FSU might be an option but I'm focusing on these schools right now.</p>

<p>Also does anyone have any thoughts on UNF? Just curious on how it's reviewed in comparison with UCF/USF. Most importantly, though, any valuable info regarding UCF/USF would be greatly appreciated.</p>

<p>I’m a 3rd year student at USF. I applied for freshman admission to all the colleges you mentioned. I was accepted at USF, UF, UCF, UNF and a couple of private colleges; I was not accepted to FSU. I selected USF because it had some unique programs and opportunities not available at the other colleges that matched up better with my plans and what I wanted to do in college. I didn’t pick a college to attend based on reviews or what others thought about the college. I picked a college that I thought was best for me. I’m pleased with USF and feel I made the best choice.</p>

<p>thanks for your input! When I applied as a freshmen applicant, I was also accepted to USF/UCF. It’s good to hear that you enjoy it! Whatever happens, I hope I’ll be just as happy as you at the institution I attend–thanks again!</p>
