It's one of the school's I'm contemplating going to. What are your opinions of it?

-Is it diverse?
-How is the campus?
-Are the dorms nice?
-How are the classes? Are you just a number at the school or do your teachers actually know who you are?
-How are the sports teams? Do you enjoy watching the games? At my HS, literally everyone goes to the basketball & football games and I'd like to have that same atmosphere at college.
-Is it as big a party school that everyone says it is? I'm not a big drinker, so I don't know if I'd have much to do there (for fun) if everyone parties the whole time.

I don't know much about it, so I'd appreciate any help I could get. Thanks guys! :)

i'm not actually a uconn student, so these are just my impressions of uconn when i last visited

-Is it diverse? not really... actually not at all
-How is the campus? it's like a city within storrs - really really big but condensed
-Are the dorms nice? they're doable - the one's at northwest or kinda small but new. north is situated right next to a cemmetary which creeps me out
-How are the classes? Are you just a number at the school or do your teachers actually know who you are? they vary
-How are the sports teams? Do you enjoy watching the games? i heard its hard to get tickets
-Is it as big a party school that everyone says it is? not a clue

-Yes, it's pretty diverse. But it seems like you have to go out of your way if you want a bunch of friends that are "diverse".
-Campus is nice, pretty big and fun to walk around.
-Some dorms are amazing (South, Hilltop suites/apartments), some are very good (Northwest, Shippee), some are okay (McMahon, Alumni), and some are pretty bad (West, North). This is not an exhaustive list of dorms.
-Depends on the class; intro classes are very large. Some upper levels are also big, though not as much. Honors classes are pretty small.
-It is hard to get basketball tickets; that said, sports are very big and you'll find a ton of diehard fans.
-A lot of the weekends revolve around parties, but if you find some friends that are like you, you won't have a problem. I'm not a partier either, and I'm doing just fine.
