I applied to many schools, but b/c of recent events the only schools that are viable financially after scholarships are Baruch, New Paltz, and Iona.

Does anyone recommend one over the other?I plan on a major in Finance/statistics.

I would say that New Paltz is the way to go. It was named "hottest small state school in America" by Newsweek. It's a real up and comer in the SUNY system. My son just transferred here and is enjoying it.
The business school has a good reputation. Check it out. State University of New York at New Paltz: Undergraduate Catalog - School of Business: Major
If you want a school that has a friendly, creative, down to earth student body and a fun, artsy college town with everything in walking distance to each other in a close knit community than this is the place. It's also got Poughkeepsie nearby and a 1 1/2 hour bus ride to NYC.
Any questions feel free to ask.

Well, I live in Dutchess County and I'm getting pretty tired of having to drive half an hour to get anywhere (which i will deal with when going to NP). I'm also not fond of Poughkeepsie. On the other hand New Paltz has or seems to have a community while baruch does not. Internship opportunities is also another big concern for me.

Baruch is AACSB accredited while New Paltz is not, can anyone validate whether this accreditation means anything?

If anyone has any input on Baruch's Quantitative Methods and Modeling program, comments would be appreciated.
