Opinions On History Programs

Hello there!
I am a high school junior looking to go into acting or history. I have a limited number of schools (it’s actually a very large number) I can apply to due to health reasons, and would like to hear thoughts on the history programs from students, parents, alumni, or anybody in between!

Before we begin, I should say that my grades are quite high and although I have not yet taken an SAT, I did quite well on my PSAT. I’m new here, so I’m not sure if we’re allowed to discuss that, but just in case that’s an acceptance concern I thought I’d address it!

These are my options. Whew, get ready!
Alfred University, SUNY Binghamton, Bloomsberg, Bucknell, Buff State, Colgate, Elmira, Hartwick, Ithaca, King’s College, Lock Haven, Lycoming, Mansfield University, Marywood University, Nazareth, St. Bonaventure, St. John Fisher, SUNY Geneseo, Oswego, Cortland, Oneonta, Brockport, Buffalo, University of Pitt at Bradford, Syracuse, University of Rochester, University of Scranton, Wilkes University, and Penn State.

My ideal school would be medium size with a really passionate program. I want to hear all of your thoughts on these history programs, so please do share, regardless of if it’s positive or negative! Did you feel accepted here, like the community valued you? Good professors? Party or academics emphasis? Any thought you’d have to share. It’s a broad field and it’s hard to jot down every detail in my journal, but I’m working on it!
Thanks so much

If you would like a seriously top-notch history program, Colgate stands out in your listed group for this academic interest. Regarding PSAT scores (which are fine to post at your discretion), a 1370+ would be a favorable indicator for a school on Colgate’s level.

Thank you so much!! I’ll definitely have to take a deeper look. How exciting!! ?
