U-Mich is definately not a safety from an OOS with a 29, probably a slight reach. Other than that, pretty good. I'd put UNC as a slight reach with U-Mich.

anyone else?? Pleaaassssssseeeeeeeee

you have no chance of getting into any of your schools. you are doomed. prepare for a meaningless life.

any other advice about my college choices?

I live in the northeast so... if you raise your ACT to above a 30, I think you should look into Brown, Amherst, Williams, Boston College -- just to name a few.

UVA is a REACH out of state. RU kidding...kids with 1500s are rejected out of state there easily.

when you mention brown as a match, are you referring to brown university?? becasue wouldn't that be a reach?

You're joking me if you think this person won't get into Michigan. Above all the medians plus diversity with low income. Puh-lease. And as a reach? lol.

now i'm confused...so who is right??

Look I have no evidence to say you will or won't get in. I can just say from my school, 11/12 kids got in, and they'd be applying with 3.8s (on a 4.0 scale) and 28s on the ACT. If you apply in August/September you're going to get in. I just feel that sometimes on this board, UM admission standards are sort of... inflated.

Thats true, and a very good point. They do have rolling admissions which makes a whole different ballgame. If it's your first choice and apply in Aug. with a 29 and the above stats, you should have no worries. But if you wait until Dec. with a 29 and OOS, your chances are severely declined and it is a reach. I know in-state kids with above 30s that got rejected because they applied too late.

okay ill agree with that.

can i apply with a 29 early (sept) and then send in a higher act score??
