Hey guys, do you think this schedule would be doable for a sophomore. I have all A's in the classes I'm taking right now.
I'm thinking about dropping AP World for On-level world history instead, but i'm not sure if i'll regret it later?

*Current Schedule
Honors Lit (9)
Accel. Geo./Algebra 2
Honors Biology
AP Human Geography
Spanish 2
Fundamentals of Engr.
Intro to Digital Tech.

*10th Schedule
Honors Lit (10)
Accel. Precalc
AP Biology
Honors Chemistry
AP Physics 1
AP World History
Spanish 3

I think so. That is a rigorous schedule. But I will say this, what are your graduation requirements? For Instance if you need fine arts, then I would kill AP Bio or AP Physics and wait until later. Honestly I think that 3 science courses with two of them being AP might be too much in a year. Then junior year you can take another and spread out your workload.

EDIT: But on the whole you should be okay. I just put in my two cents

The AP Bio and AP World teachers at my school are very very good, I don’t know much about my AP Physics teacher, but at first glance he seemed okay. Unfortunately most electives at my school are a complete waste of time, so I’ve decided to steer clear of them.

Yeah I know how you feel. I just mean that sometimes you need a fine arts to graduate and you would probably want to kill it now so you can have a better workload junior and senior year instead of having half you classes being electives to meet requirements.

Yeah, right now I believe I only need one more elective to fulfill graduation requirements, and my teachers all recommended this schedule with the exception of AP Physics 1 which I chose instead of AP Statistics.

Sorry to be off topic but how do you guys convince your counselors to get this schedule. I wanted to take Honors Physics and Honors chem last year but my counselor thought it was too “hard”

AP Bio, AP Physics and Hon Chem as a sophomore? That’s going to be tough… might want to save one for next year… I’m assuming Hon Chem is a prerequisite for AP Chem, so it’d make more sense to have 2 science classes this year and 2 next year… rather than 3 this year and 1 next year.

I was originally recommended to take this by my teachers.

Honors Lit (10)
Accel. Precalc
AP Statistics
AP Biology
Honors Chemistry
AP World History
Spanish 3

I talked to my Biology teacher first, he said it would be hard and require dedication, but he approved my request since he is the Science department chair. After his approval I talked to my counselor told her I wanted to switch out AP Stat to AP Physics, and she said yes as well.

At my school Honors Chem is a Co-requisite for AP Biology. Junior year I plan on taking AP Physics C: Mechanics, and possibly self studying Elec. and Mag. Senior year I will Take AP Chemistry and Honors Anatomy and Physiology.

I was in algebra 2/trig and H bio. I’m now taking H Math analysis/AP Calc A and AP chem. I question my counselors competence everyday tbh.

I will say that you might want to experience Chemistry first before AP Bio because if I am correct there is a biochemistry unit that will be easier after chem. But that is just me. I would just maybe kill AP Bio until next year. But you should be ready if you really want to.

I don’t see why you weren’t allowed to double up on sciences, You would have been taking AP Bio. and Honors Chem at my school along with Accel. Math and AP Stat. Sophomore year…
