Anyone that has taken SPN1134, is it a difficult course or is it relatively doable? I have prior experience in Spanish from high school (all four years), but it has been a while and I'm afraid that might hinder my performance. Just want to know if I should take this course or opt for SPN1130 instead.

I took SPN1134 last semester, and it is doable. Since you took spanish in high school they’re not really going to let you take SPN1130. You go to class, but the majority of the assignments are done online and its 25% of the grade, plus 3 exams and a final which is required. The course is like a review of high school spanish so you shouldn’t have a problem.

When I was in 1130 some ZTA managed to get in there w/ 3 or 4 years of HS Spanish. To me its an annoying class and I’d rather just get my language over with so I would not attempt it in your shoes. Or if you already have the requirement take no Spanish, imo.

On the chance that you’re thinking like I did that it will help with a job, I don’t think that’s too likely to happen unless you really love Spanish and are willing to self study, find random people on the internet to chat with in Spanish, go to Spanish speaking countries and things of that sort. Even then you may find a job where it wouldn’t have made a difference, but you’d be unlikely to make it that far if it were only for a job. You aren’t going to get there reading capitulo uno

A ZTA- as in a Zeta? LOL.

yes, Greeks gonna greek
