opinions please?

okay, so i took the sat in december, got a 1920 overall, 1250 math and english. this was with no prep/studying.

now ive been doing a little vocab, went over about 200 words so far, and i just started a prep course. the prep course is designed to end a week before the march sat- so everything is fresh and whatnot.

thing in i was planning to take it in may/june, and then if im not pleased sept of my december year.

what do you think will be the best choice? i heard 3 times is the best amount of times to take it. so should i take it march, or may/june? i feel it may be too recent since the last time i took it (december), but the course is really teaching me just the /tips/ for doing well- and the basic tricky questions.

so, just some input would be appreciated ^^

i was also considering just taking the sat this march, and then the act at the end of junior year. i have done /no/ practice on that, but i just want to see what i will get. is that a stupid idea? can you choose to just totally disregard your act score if its bad?

the prep course im taking btw is revolution prep, if anyone is familiar with it.

If you want a significant improvement I’d say you should have a good 3 months of prep, but that’s just me. I’ve never found prep courses particularly helpful, though. If you’re dedicated, you should be fine just looking over vocab and carefully doing practice tests in the Blue Book and going over why you got each question wrong or right.
