OPINIONS- which subject tests to take?

So, I am a junior and I have taken the BIO SAT II my freshman year and just took Math II in May. I am happy with both of those scores, and am prepared to send them. Although the reach schools that I plan on applying to (ivies and other top universities) only require 2 subject tests, I really want to take a third.

I am currently registered to take the Chem exam in june, but I am having second thoughts, because I am really not looking to major in anything science related. (I am looking into econ & IR double major) So if I took chem, all of my subject tests would be science and math related. Is this a problem?

My other options would be to take either the French Language exam or United States History.
French- I am actually dropping french senior year, so if I wanted to major in something government/IR related, I think that having a decently high score on the French exam would be helpful. However, I am not prepared to take this in 2 weeks, so it would probably have to wait till October.

History- Although I feel that I got a 5 on the AP exam I am not sure that in June I'll be able to take the exam and get 780+, so I may have to hold off t'ill October to take this. If I do that I would currently not be in a U.S. History class at the time I will be taking the exam.

So what do you think, stick to chem this june or take one of the humanities in october?

If they only accept 2 subject tests, then they will only take the 2 highest ones (this is for the UC system. I don’t know if taking ridiculous amounts of SAT subjects will help you with ivies).

AP is so much more harder than SAT. You’ll fly through the test if you did well on the AP exam. Take US History.

You can change your SAT subject of choice during testing. Just bubble in the correct form.

SAT French is basically AP French. So unless you’re enrolled in that class, you’re pretty doomed to fail.

Thanks. Yeah I’m probably leaning towards switching to U.S. this june and hoping it works out.
