opportunities after med school...

Hey,

I was wondering if there is a site that lists all the types of doctors one can become after completing medical school (and further studies). There are so many types of doctors, and I was just wondering if there is a place that lists all of them... I'm not really sure if this is a stupid question or not.

thanks alot

http://www.ama-assn.org/ama/pub/category/2375.html has a list of the most common specialties.
http://www.aamc.org/students/cim/specialties.htm has some that aren't listed on the previous site.
http://www.google.com/Top/Health/Medicine/Medical_Specialties/ has even more.

There are also various sub-specialties within each of the specialties listed. (And there's probably more specialties that aren't listed on any of the sites)

Also each little specialization has further specializations. Like oral surgeons have surgeons who specialize in jaw surgery etc. Same for something like cardiothoarcic where a surgeon may specialize in transplants or something like that. There are so so so many areas. Your bound to find something you like if medicine is your calling.
