<p>So…as the thread name suggest i’m wondering if UBC will give me good opportunities after getting my undergrad degree…</p>
<p>Personally i’m going to the Faculty of Science.
I currently take the IB Diploma and here are my subjects</p>
<p>Chem HL - 6
Bio HL - 6
Geo HL - 6</p>
<p>Math SL - 6
Chinese B SL - 7
English SL - 5</p>
<p>after i get my degree in a science i was thinking of going to grad school to get a PhD and then go in to research. As for which grad school i want to go do. I was thinking the US, and one of the top there. </p>
<p>I know i’m not the top grade student in terms of my IB score…but i slack off a lot…
my father is a professor who teaches biochemistry and does research in that field too…
I’ve heard from someone who graduated from UBC that the science there is really bad. Apparently a lot of the courses aren’t standardized and that the professors aren’t that great. The guy ended up with a 3.9 GPA and is doing pretty well atm.</p>
<p>so in conclusion i am wondering if UBC Science will be a good stepping stone for my future as a potential researcher. Any ideas?</p>
