<p>I am a USC student but not in the theatre or musical programs (im in Marshall). I was wondering if you guys know of any opportunities for plays or similar opportunities for acting that have open auditions available to people who have never done acting.</p>

<p>There are opportunities (classes, as well as open-cast productions) where anyone can audition/register for class.</p>
<p>I will say this about the auditions: Non-theatre majors are less likely to get cast. That’s not to say that it doesn’t happen, but just that there is already a lot of competition among theatre majors, let alone people who are just doing it as a hobby. So just keep that in mind.</p>
<p>There are student productions (which are excellent btw!) that you probably could audition for as well.</p>
<p>That said …if you want to do a play… audition for anything you can, regardless of your chances.</p>
