I can't say. Sometimes NYU is not for everyone. I didn't like my current college at first before it was a third tier. I picked over it Rutgers because I want to stay in NYC. However, it is quite fun here and I met many people. Sure, there's red tape there but not as much if you know the staff really well.

I think the better prestige the better your future is. It follows you through your career and life after graduation. Think. If someone ask where you are coming from, you can say it with PRide! Employers would be impressed!!

You're joking right? You must been really blinded by US News and Newsweek. Remember Steven Speilberg was rejected by USC 3 times and had an C average yet he was quite successful. He didn't even graduated from college until 2002, and it was not USC. He did get a honorary degree from USC after he became famous but he certainty didn't get a BA or BS degree.

I would have to agree with ScionCars since people may not be a genius with talent like Speilberg. Besides, he is one of the very few exceptions in the society. You do not have to be blinded by those magazines to know the reality of the modern competitive world.

anyway kezbies, you seem to be angry. Although your vexatious insolence is quite disturbing, i will kindly overlook your behavior. ^_^

I'm not sure. When they were telling us about the program they gave us a few statistics: There are approximately 500 people that are considered for this program, 300 are accepted, out of those 300 only 50 of them are for the C-Step Program. The C-Step program is for those students who NYU is interested in, but aren't in an extreme need of financial assistance like that of the HEOP students.

Earlygrad08, D is still waiting to hear. it is maddening..... She got into some decent schools with good aid, Johns Hopkins, Boston U, etc etc. Stiill waiting to hear from NYU and 2 other schools.
