<p>Acer has generally overall low quality compared to pretty much every other maker out there. You pay about the same amount of money for a machine of lesser quality. You are much better off going with something like a Toshiba or Asus…or heck, maybe even a Dell.</p>

<p>I’m not trying to be an ass, but I still haven’t heard any specifics. Like I said, I’ve had great experiences with Acer and so have my friends, and I’m really interested in knowing more about issues they have, but so far you’re just making very broad statements that sounds more like mudslinging than anything.</p>

<p>What do you mean by “low quality”? Are you talking about their failure rates? Capacitor death? Early battery life drain?</p>

<p>I agree that Toshiba and Asus are better brands, but I don’t think Acer is a bad company. Feel free to prove me wrong, but at least use specific examples.</p>
