Are there going to be optimization questions on the exam? I know there are related rates, but I've looked through all my FRQ and multiple-choice exams, and I haven't seen one at all.

Are they going to surprise us and have us do optimization for a FRQ? Opinions?

I've seen a few. They aren't hard, just know how to do them. Think how bad it would be to find one on the free response and have no idea how to do it.

My friend asked my teacher today and she insisted one could possibly pop up even though none of her 2 review AP books had a good example problem and none of the 3 practice exams we took included one. I am going to look over it just in case.

I doubt there will be an optimization frq.. if there is it will be easy, because its just getting the primary and secondary equations, substituting, deriving and finding the relative extrema..not too difficult

Is optimization when you're trying to maximize or minimize the area of a fenced-in area or something like that? I haven't done that since the beginning of the year; it's all a blur in my mind now XD
