The Harvard supplement to the Common App gives an option to include artistic material, but doesn't say if video is allowed (except for a musical submission, which I am not doing). I was hoping to submit a video performance in mock trial, which is what I wrote the short answer essay about and, to be honest, I am amazing at. Is this acceptable?

The supplement small print says "Please note that CD format is preferred, but tapes will still be evaluated. Do not send video recordings of musical performances or recitals." I can't imagine why they'll listen to a CD but not a DVD. But hey, you're not sending a musical performance, so I'd go for it.

Hmm...here's a case where I would contact the admissions office about. Just to be safe.

when u mean performance, u mean theater/acting? or just simply um...mock trial? like windcloudultra said i would contact the admissions office about that. BTW, if ur performance is in no way related to acting/drama, please don't label it as "artistic". I've been drawing and painting since forever but i never would label myself as an "artist". I hate how people call everything "art" nowadays. I apologize if i misunderstood you.
