Does anyone know how we choose the exact department to which we send the form and the artistic material? Because we have to specify which department we have to send it to, and I'm not sure if that means, for example, sending a music supplement to the Duke University Department of Music, or something else. Could someone elaborate on this?

I sent my optional artistic stuff (CD + resume) in a separate envelope and labeled it “Visual Arts Department”, along with my name and SS number. I put this into a huge envelope along with my transcripts and such and mailed it to Duke. Sorry if this didn’t help at all.

On the top of the form it says to just send it to Undergraduate Admissions. Hope this helps.

yea i sent mine to undergraduate admissions. i was under the impression that they DIDNT want you to send your art supp to a particular program/department

Thank you guys! Okay, so if I’m sending a music supplement do I just label it “Department of Music” and send it to admissions? haha sorry, I just want to make sure I understand.

I think you just need to check the box on the form that refers to your particular art subject and then they will know which department to send it to. As long as you mail it to Undergraduate Admissions, I’m sure you’ll be fine.

Yes, send everything to Undergraduate Admissions but label your art supplement (whatever it contains) “Music Department” so the admins can send your stuff to the correct department to be evaluated by people knowledgeable in whatever field your art is in.
I write really convoluted and run on sentences. :[ My apologies.

That helps a lot, thanks! :)
