Yeah I sent it along with my app and attached a little explanation with it. But I think those things are hit or miss - they might have looked at it, they might have just thrown it out.

If we send something else after our main app is in, do you just label the envelope? For instance, if I send in a research report, can I just put it in a 9 x 11 envelope, label the outside as "supplementary info," and send it? They'll know to put it in my file, right?

guys, there's the 'What else would you like us to know' and the arts background.
Which one are you talking about?

as for the arts background, I'm sending a visual arts CDROM and a music composition.

didn't think the optional form was necessary, though, i think a poem is a nice idea

Jrock -- Wasn't the deadline for visual arts December 15?

but what is on paper is not binding.
Heyo, the final deadline is Jan 7.
actually i decided late to apply to Pton,
but i hope y'all have submitted yours

so the final deadline for all supplementary stuff is Jan 7th? for all applicants, or only those deferred ED?

yeah for everyone. that's the FINAL date

wooot ok thanks :) that made me happy; now I still have time to send stuff

BTW how'd you find out? did you call them?

hey WillyShakes, I emailed them.

I know of someone who applied to Cornell in Feb last year with SAT 1310 and got in with 3/4 aid.

No fear.

But it is very important you keep in touch with your admission processors so they'll know you're serious, just like I do. You got to show your commitment and sincerity. feeling me? :)

Okay, so even if the paper says the deadline was December 15, I can still send in something before January 7 and it will be considered by the Fine Arts department?

princeton may be quite tough on deadlines to be honest.

Though, I sent my online application to Penn on 3rd, they received it, and they've already assigned me an ID. :)

Well, Pton says they've received my app, which i sent on 3rd.
But i sent school recs, and supps today by Fedex. They should consider it.

anyway, collegebound123, you've nothing to lose by sending them in. As i said earlier, email to notify them at UAOffice@princeton.edu.

But your supps had better be outstanding, so they'll take a second look.

GO princeton!

i sent it by mail and its taking forever...the reg app was due by the 2nd i thought...did they extend it?

thoughtprocess, when did you send in your app? was it by mail? or is it the optional stuff you're talking about?

My GC sent my app in around the 21st December by mail. I haven't recieved any confirmation, probably because it was by mail. I sent optional stuff on januarary 3rd but I don't think they would send a letter or anything saying they got optional stuff.

ur arts optional supplement has to be in on time. im pretty sure they dont take it if they dont receive it on time

I sent in my common app through the internet on January 1, and I haven't received any confirmation. Does it normally take this long?

shrek, if you're right, i'm dead; but let's wait and see. My case is peculiar :)

hey thoughtprocess, the deadlines are postmark deadlines, so if they were sent on 21 December and by some quirk arrive on Jan 31, they'll still consider it.

collegebound123, don't fret. But personally, i don't use the commonappp when a school has its own. I only use it for those who stick to it exclusively. Did you fill out all the supplemental forms?
hey, once you see submitted, whether, pton says yes or no, it's gone. when did you submit anyway?I recommend that when you're racing against deadlines, don't use the commonapp. I really do not know how it works. THere are so many problems with that site. Keep hoping, ideally you should receive a confirmation. On the other hand, email UAOffice@princeton.edu

btw, collegebound123, I sent in my Pton app on their website on 3rd and i got a confirmation straight away.

hey guys, check out the email i just received from Princeton:

Dear Folajimi,

You may FedEx materials to the Admission Office but use 110 West College
Building as the mailing address instead of the P.O. Box. They will be
accepted.

As for the arts supplement, we will accept it but cannot guarantee it
will be sent for evaluation. The cutoff date was December 15th. Those
received later are sent as they come if time allows. It will, however,
become part of your application.

Hope this helps. Good luck.

Jan. 7 is not the deadling for supplementary stuff for deferred people I hope? I thought the letter said end of januaray (I don't remember, and since I ripped it to shreds I can't check)
