optional questions

I had a short story that i wrote published in An Anthology of Short Stories by Young Adults. Can I put that for the question that asks about something I've created? I don't plan on majoring in writing or anything like that.

Also, if I don't anything extremely important to add to application, is it better to just leave the last question that says you can write about anything blank??

Thanks.

Sure - people do tons of stuff that have nothing to do with their future. I lived in the theater in high school and wrote about it on pretty much all my college apps, but I'm not involved in theater at all at MIT.

Yes. Remember that these admissions people are reading bajillions of apps... wasting their time is probably not the best idea. :)

What if you included two things that you have created? I have my research (abstracts) and a particular drawing that I would like to submit. Would two be too much?

Cough, ahem.

No, two is better than one!

Should I send a copy of my story? I just described it and discussed the themes and my intent in writing it. Is that ok? honestly, I don't even have a copy of it anymore cuz my old computer got stolen and I never bought the book it got published in cuz I didn't have the money.

Oh, and thanks for the advice, Dally! I left the additional info question blank.
