Options to UNC for Out-of-Stater

My daughter's parameters: Division I sports, southern atlantic states, strong academics.
She's a Texas resident, 2200 SAT, #1 or #2 in her small class, editor-in-chief of yearbook, dance, tennis, 4s and 5s on 6 APs.

List: UNC, Duke, Vandy
Wake, Clemson
UT, LSU, Auburn, Alabama

Any school she's missing? The Division I sports is pretty important to her. Thanks kindly.

Maybe UGA? She sounds like a good candidate for their honors program on the academic front. Big sports. And, Athens is a great college town (often listed along with Chapel Hill, Madison, Ann Arbor, and others as one of the tops).

UVA might be worth a look as well. Like UNC, it is very competitive to get in, especially from OOS, but she has strong stats so it might be a good fit. Again, strong sports and good college town. Of course, great academics, too.

If you have any specific questions about Wake Forest PM me, its a great school. I looked at Wake Forest, Duke, and UNC in high school and Wake was by far my favorite.

U Florida comes to mind.

If she’s looking to add a small school for variety, Davidson would be worth a look. (I feel like I promote it a lot, but it’s such a great school! Plus it’s loan-free and a great bargain financially.)

The only ones worth noting are UVA, UGA, Florida. Maybe South Carolina. She would definitely get in-state tuition and could be in contention for McNair Scholarship (full tuition, books, etc.).

Rice? Definitely U.Va. She’s overqualified for LSU, Alabama and Auburn OOS, though I realize that merit aid may be the primary attraction there.
