Any bio major is fine, but you need go to med school later.

<p>My sister went to optometry school after UCSD. Its only 4 years after Bachelor degree. For Opthamology you need to go to Med School which will be 8 years after Bachelor degree.</p>

<p>OD - prescribe eye-glasses only (7 years of education after HS).
MD - surgeries, can’t prescribe eye-glasses (14 years of education after HS).</p>
