I have a few items on the checklist that are currently 'Initiated'. The 'initiated' ones are my transcript, two of my essays (the common app one and the supplement one), and the counselor recommendation. Since my common app and supplement have both been completed, Im sure the two essays are fine, but I'm wondering about the recommendation and the transcript and how long it usually takes to be processed.

im in the same boat as you. initiated means they havent received it yet?

On the site it said that its 'currently incomplete or being processed' so.. :/ its kinda vague

does anyone who is currently a student know anything about this?

I'm just another applicant, but I'm pretty sure that "Initiated" means they haven't officially recieved it and fully put it into their system and "Completed" means they have. I wouldn't worry about things still saying "Initiated" until early Feb. at least, unless you know you forgot it or something.

Well, I applied ED, so I'm supposed to get my decision by Feb. 1st...

Hey guys, might be a little off topic but on your OPUS account under personal information, is there a campus email listed? Because there is one for me and I'm not sure if it's always been there...

Initiated means they haven't received it yet or they haven't had time to input it into the system.

Oh, and I called the admissions office because I am basically in the same situation and they said come time to review, if they haven't received it yet, they will email you

I wonder if they've started reviewing...is anyone else early?

yeah i am. btw YOKANG, it's feb 15th not feb 1st. ehhh an extra 14 days that i don't want to wait out.

oh really? okay, that makes it a bit more understandable

initiated means they havent reviewed it yet, they got it though

afitscher: i know i have not sent in a portion of my application, and it still says initiated.

rubberducky,
Having a campus email on your opus page sounds pretty encouraging--wish I had one.

Is anyone's 'Counselor Recommendation' and/or 'Transcript' completed?

What is this OPUS thing you are talking about?

Yokang: Mine are both completed. I'd wait a week or two before making a big deal though. Sometimes they don't process everything together (another school did that for me).

It's to check your application materials. Click on "Obtain Network ID and Password" if you didn't look it up yet.

Thank you, angrygoldfish! I feel so enlightened now.

Yes, my transcript/counselor rec/2 short essays/long essays are still "initiated."

But I'm not surprised since they're probably making sure they get EDIIer's stuff ready first... and I finished my application the night of January 15th, so I'm one of the last in line.

Yeah, if you haven't gotten a letter from them about your application being processed, I wouldn't worry about it at all. It might take up to 3-4 weeks or more, especially because you applied so late. They'll let you know if anything's missing when the time comes.
