I applied two weeks ago and on OPUS it sais that Emory has received my application materials, but my SAT is pending. However, I sent the two out on the same day.
Should I give it more time or should I contact the admissions office right away?
Thanks!

There’s usually a huge delay with CollegeBoard’s SAT Score Report delivery, so just give it some time. It’ll reach the school eventually. If it’s not there within a month I would call.

Thanks, all my materials finally got there!

my d1 applied to emory last year and we noticed delays in recording already received application materials. if you notice something not right, definitely ask your guidance counselor for help

DS just FINALLY checked OPUS after applying on 10/16 (He does not seem to understand the importance of creating these accounts when he gets the email notifications that he can set one up!)…and the “To Do” says that he still needs to submit his writing supplement! (All other materials say “initiated.”) Meanwhile, he has confirmation on the CA that the writing supplement was sent that day. He sent an email on OPUS to inquire, but is this going to be a problem as far as applying for the Scholars program?

@Collegefortwins It wouldn’t hurt to call about it I found they’re really helpful over the phone if he still hasn’t had a response on email. I had the same “initiated” status on my to do list but they basically explained that it takes a little time to get processed and marked as completed, but definitely call if they claim he hasn’t submitted something that he did (most likely they have it and just haven’t updated it and as long as you have proof you sent it there shouldn’t be any issue regarding Scholars deadlines from my understanding).

Here’s the deal, Emory’s admission department is the middle of their “winter hibernation” where they are parsing through the more then 17000 applications they receive. If you have an urgent question CALL don’t email. However because of the common app situation schools tend to be cutting students alot of slack to submit their applications (and all the parts arriving).
