Opus?!

Am I supposed to have received OPUS log-in information by now or other "missing credentials" info? I'm an RD application for Fall 2009....The only thing I've received from Emory since I applied Jan 15 is that "test scores" standard letter and a brochure.

When I called they said that OPUS isn't for applicants...which really confused me....I thought that's exactly what it's for.

You have to get your login info yourself. Go to:

https://psoftsa.cc.emory.edu/psp/saprod/EMPLOYEE/HRMS/?cmd=logout

And then click on “Obtain Network ID and Password.”

I tried that multiple times, but it’s basically saying I don’t exist as an applicant…when I called the help # they told me that Emory would e-mail me about missing credentials and that I don’t need to use OPUS…gah I’m just very confused about this- can current applicants use OPUS or not? Has anyone else had problems registering?

Yeah, I’m pretty sure everyone else is using OPUS and is fine. That seems a bit inconvenient for you, but like she said, they’ll email you if they need anything. Don’t worry about it.

My 09-10 verification statement and student signed tax return are “initiated.” (The other FA stuff is completed) Is this bad?

@hilsa - That’s kind of odd…Maybe their office is a bit slow on updating information. Everything on my checklist reads “completed”. I wouldn’t worry too much about it though.

What is the 09-10 verification statement anyway? I have no idea what that is.

just calm down peoples.

this is all normal (trust me I applied EDII this year and got accepted)
sooner or later you’re going to get a letter with directions on how to get your network ID and password. they havent gotten you into the system yet so that’s why it didnt work.

verification statement: this is a document that you fill out extra. it basically is like a confirmation to the CSS/FAFSA profiles that you sent in. you can download it off of the emory financial aid website under forms.

OPUS is definitely for applicants. AFTER you get your account information, you can access your status and review the items you still need to send in.
oh and INITIATED means that they havent got it yet. but chill if you’ve sent them in because emory is a large school and they need time to process it and input it into the computer systems.

one word: CHILLAX.

yeah, i was having the same issue with my Opus account, but then i just called and they gave me my ID number and password. Just call them and i think they will give it to you.

i haven’t ever been able to get onto OPUS. i didn’t put my soc sec number on my apps and so they have you put in email info but it says that there isn’t an applicant with my birthday and address even though i checked my app to make sure it all matched. but everything’s in and so i haven’t worried about it
