+++ or ---

New school year is coming. Have to think about working on college applications. Wish I could bet more on the colleges of interest :), like buying lottery tickets. Back to reality, here are my numbers.

SAT I : 2400 SAT IIs: >760
APs: 5 on Bio/Chem/Eng lang/Eng lit/Cal AB/US Hist/World Hist; 4 on French Lang.
High School: No rank. But I am on top 1 or 2.
Play 2 lettered sports
Did 2 summers of research with fellowship
Active in a couple of clubs/organization with leadership positions
Recommendation: my teacher said: there is no discipline I can not master.

People on some of the threads are saying that adcoms want to evaluate the whole package. I just want to present who I am without any packaging. Do I have >15% chance to top schools?

No one can give you advice unless you tell them what specific schools you are interested in.

yeah you seem like a pretty decent candidate for all schools. perfect test scores, lots of APs, valedictorian, sports, research, leadership, good recommendations...You do have very high chances but your essays better be good.

there is a statistic out there about how many valedictorians get into Harvard--something like 40% get accepted? Correct me if I'm wrong, people.

McGirt, Jimbob

I will be visiting some of the NE top schools next week and then decide where to apply early. The idea is to get it done in the early round and then move on to enjoy the rest of high school life. I know I will happily end up where I belong :)

Thanks for comments.
