unless they changed it you have to call in the fall to get the georgia tickets

Why are the Georgia tickets separate? What is this?

The brochure says you can order them now. And when I called it was an option to buy Georgia tickets or away game tickets.

I know that you used to do them in the fall so idk, once I get my money refunded I will call and see what happens.

For seiclan the Georgia/Florida game is held every year in Jacksonville so its like buying tickets for an away game. They are seperate from the Season tickets.

You can't just buy season tickets? They actually don't allow every student the chance to get tickets? That's seriously the stupidest thing i've ever heard of. Whose attendance at a college football game could be more important than the college's students?

... The college alumni who give millions upon millions to the college to keep it going?

Alumni pay a whole lot more for tickets thus supporting other financial endeavors the school or the UAA have. Students buying tickets is not profitable, esp a year ago when season tickets were $35. People will scalp tickets for 3x that much for each game and 5-8x that much for the big games.

Anyways, so basically its too late to get football tickets for freshmen?

No not too late. Tickets that students haven't picked up go on sale from the ticket office on Thursdays ( at 6pm I think) of game week, so you can call and get one if they are available. There are also students that buy season tickets just to sell them and make a profit, which isn't hard. So you will see many students selling their tickets over list-serv's and whatnot. Most people don't pay attention to where you are sitting so just squeeze in with your friends and you should be fine.

Ok.. plenty of other schools have more alumni than UF and still make tickets available and guaranteed to every student who wants to pay the amount. And how can you say it's more important for an alumni to be attending the game than a student? And personally as an alumni, wouldn't one feel compelled to allow the students to attend the games and be able to have the same great experience they had when they were in college which presumably led to them donating money in the first place.. and couldn't they donate money based off that merit alone and love for the university itself? People being selfish bastards doesn't justify things like this really no matter how you look at it. The entire basis of a donation is to be charitable, not to want something in return.

Hey Fendertime are you an incoming freshman at UF?

i did not win the lottery but i still want tickets so is there any other way i can student season tickets?

Shanksta, I'm deciding between Texas and Florida. I'm taking one last look at Florida soon so as to make my final decision. However I am a Florida resident and have been a Gator fan my entire life. I haven't had time to look at Florida recently so I have had to pay my deposit either way before I go look at it again, so technically, yes, I am incoming freshman at UF.

That's cool, wondering cause I have a friend who is also an incoming freshman from Louisiana (like myself) and his AIM Screename is Fender.... Thought you might be him... no worries! Good luck making that decision! I had Texas in my Top 3 before I decided I definitely wanted to stay in the SEC.

has anyone that had the problem seeing the ticket lottery results online received an official confirmation (in the form of writing)?

No, I had the problem online and did not receive a confirmation e-mail. However, when I called they told me I had won the lottery. No "official" notification yet, though.

is there some way to get student season tickets even though i lost the lottery?

Nope. You can still get tickets though. On Thursdays before home games you can call this number (352) 384-3262 starting at 6PM to see if you can get any unclaimed tickets. Also, students enter the lottery only to later sell their tickets later on, so you'll see a lot of people selling tickets.

around how much do they sell their student season tickets for?

If you call that number and get through and get a ticket, it's $10. Make sure you have your credit card ready with you because that is what they charge. People who have season tickets and sell some of their tickets price their tickets according to whatever game it is. If it is a non-conference game, then they will probably sell it at face value up to maybe $15 or $20. Now, games like Auburn, Tennessee, and Florida State will be a lot more expensive. Students are going to want to make a profit out of these games and will sell their tickets up to maybe $100, especially for the Florida State game because it is in Gainesville this year.

do people sell their student season tickets game by game or can you find someone who will sell their student season ticket to you so it will be as if you did win the lottery? Also i did not win the lottery but they did not refund all of my money so i am guess that what they kept was for the service charge and gator growl tickets. where do i pick up my gator growl tickets?
