Is it okay to go to BU and get the books there when I go for move in on the 1st of September? Im trying to find books off of half.com since I want to get good prices, but Im afriad of the edition of the books. I emailed my professors, and we’ll see if they respond. But if I go like on the 2nd to Barnes and Noble, and just order my books then, that will be easier right?

yeah, that's what a lot of people do. for the book editions i'm sure of, i bought on half.com and various other online merchants over the summer. for the rest, i'll be going to the BU barnes and noble and copying down ISBNs so i can buy those online too (prices at the BU barnes and noble are very high). if i need the book immediately, i'll buy it at the barnes and noble and save the receipt.. then return it later when my online-purchased book comes.

Yeah like nathansc said, a ton of people do that, just be prepared for loong lines at B&N. If they are sold out of a book you need, most professors (at least mine in the past) will accomadate if you tell them the situation until the books arrive. Another thing you can do is wait till the first day of classes, since it is unlikely that you will need books the first day, and get the booklist from the professor, buy the books you will need for like the first couple of weeks at B&N, then buy the rest online.
