My daughter just submitted her application yesterday. I’ve read they have rolling admissions. How long after submitting can you expect to hear back when it’s this early in the process (Sept). She’s interested in Education, so not an impacted major, in case that matters.
I don’t know the answer - but if you read their webpage, they say you should hear back in early December. At least if you read the website, it doesn’t appear to be rolling. But call and ask.

I must have read it wrong. I guess she’ll just be considered EA then.
Last year, my son heard back in three weeks. Submitted app in beginning of September, received acceptance by month’s end. We, too, thought decisions came back in December; we were pleasantly surprised with the quick turnaround.
What majors at Oregon State are impacted? I have not heard about that.
Sorry, I don’t know that there are. When my son was applying to schools for engineering a few years ago, everything was different for those apps because every program is so competitive. Since my daughter isn’t interested in those types of programs I haven’t looked.
My daughter sent her app with Common App Aug 20th and heard back (accepted - Biochemistry / Molecular Biology) Sep 16th. The Honors College is still pending.

My son applied around Oct 1st and heard this morning (Oct 19th). Accepted Fisheries, Wildlife and Conservation Sciences.

My daughter turned in Common App 9/17, transcripts and rec letters were uploaded a few weeks ago. Just got acceptance email

For those who applied using Common App, did Oregon State accept the official HS transcript through Common App as well? That is how our school counselor says that she submits them to all schools, but my son is nervous that it might need to be sent to Oregon State in a different way.

My daughter’s school uploaded it to Naviance which feeds into the common app. It’s fine to submit the app first so you get a portal and then you can see in the portal whether it was received.
Applied 10/30 through Common App (Engineering, OOS). Admitted 11/14. Honors college and scholarships pending.

My daughter just got her acceptance via e mail today. Applied on 10/30. WUE etc pending. Psychology OOS.

My daughter received a thicker envelope in the mail today but has not opened it. Curious if anyone/anyone’s kids received any scholarship info from Oregon St?
According to the portal, they will start awarding scholarships in December. (Of course it’s possible they have sent some out already, too.)

What other schools did your Son apply to? Looks like our kids have two in common: OSU and UW.
In no particular order: OSU, UW, UBC, a lot of UCs, Cal Poly SLO, tOSU, UMN, Pitt, UConn, CWRU, Northeastern, USC, U of Toronto, McGill. Still finishing the UCAS application…
That’s a lot of schools but looks like they just have the two in common. Assume you are in CA?
Yes we are in CA, and are applying to many schools, as the UCs and Cal Poly can be unpredictable, and outside of CA he is hoping for some merit. (Not expecting merit from UW though…) He really liked Oregon State and he may end up there even if he is accepted to many of these others, who knows!
