Cal Poly is a great school if one knows what they want to major in upon entrance.
Has anyone heard back from the Honors College yet?
The envelope just had some general marketing materials and the link to apply for the extra scholarships. Anti dramatic!
We have received a few e mails like this lately (several schools). My D had a nice run of acceptances but appears like we won’t see anything else until mid December barring something unexpected.
DD admitted to OSU (no info on WUE yet)
-Major: Computer Sci
-OOS
-SAT 1540
-National merit semi-finalist
-Acad GPA: 4.1 W / 3.6 UW
-9 APs (including Comp Sci, Physics 1 and 2, Calculus AB and BC)
-4 year PLTW-Engineering pathway
-Strong ECs including varsity sport, participation on county student advisory group on mental health, Founder President Psych club, PT job as tutor etc
-Decent common app essay
Other admits: Western Washington, Arizona State, NAU, NJIT, Colorado State and a couple of safety Cal States
The WUE scholarship appeared in my son’s portal today.

The WEU hit my daughter’s portal today too! Honors still pending.

Did get Provost scholarship 10K/yr (which brings it close enough)

My D has a 3.68 up, 3.82 W. She did test optional. Very good on EC side but know that does not matter much at OSU. She received the Provost.
@lehcubm My D has 3.97 UW, 4.21 W. 1450 SAT. 5 APs + honors. 8 science classes total at graduation. 4 year 2 sport varsity athlete, job, science related volunteering, regional science award. She got WUE.
My D got WUE too. She has a 3.75 UW, 4.42 W, 5 APs + honors. Major Environmental Science.

My daughter was awarded WUE. Do you know if it’s like Presidential scholarships at many schools where the award has a $ range, or if it’s one $ amount for all OOS students.
Congratulations! Not all OOS students get the WUE scholarship. However for all of the OOS students who have this award, it is the same scholarship. It isn’t a fixed dollar amount because tuition is based on the number of enrolled units per term.

My daughter has 4.0 UW gpa, test optional. She took 2 college classes and 2 APs. (School doesn’t offer many honors classes and no APs before Jr year.) She has been a tutor for middle school students from under resourced communities for two years.

Congrats to all the WUE and Provost recipients. My son got WUE. He received an email today. He has a 4.0 UW, 11 IBs + honors; engineering
GPA 3.6UW/4.1 W, 1540 SAT, Strong ECs - got Provost 10k/yr renewable. (I believe Provost ranges upto 12k, so she did not receive the max amt)
Honors College Acceptance just hit my daughter’s portal! 
Check your portals if you are waiting on honors.
My son was admitted to honors today as well. Seems like a great honors program!
