ORFE v. Political Science v. Economics

Hi everyone!

I needed some advice. I am considering majors (this is planning WAY ahead), and was wondering if you guys could tell me the following information about ORFE (Operations Research and Financial Engineering), Political Science (PoliSci and also Woodie Woo), and Economics:

1) How much do you enjoy the major? Do most students seem to be enthusiastic and happy in this field?
2) How difficult is the major? What is the typical course load?
3) What are the job prospects for the major?
4) Do the professors in this major devote a lot of time to undergrads? Are they enthusiastic about the major?
5) What do people usually do after the major? After which majors does one go to graduate school, and after which ones does one go to Law School or get an MBA?

Thanks!

I'm planning on majoring in ORFE. I went to the engineering open house at Princeton and it seemed like ORFE majors get tons of job offers with IBanks in Manhattan, as well as industrial firms and entertainment companies like Disney. You can basically make the major what you want. If you want more OR classes, you can focus on them, but if you want to head into corportate finance or ibanking, you can take more finance classes

Wait, but I don't get it. Why choose ORFE instead of MacroEcon or Finance or something like that?

an econ major deals more with theory. and there is no finance major at princeton, just a minor
