Next year I plan on taking: (Junior year)
AP Chemistry

Honors Precalc
Science Research II
Newspaper

I can't decide whether to take AP Economics (macro and micro in one year) or Personal Finance and Organic Chemistry for half a year each. Both fulfill my finance requirement. I want to go PreMed so I am wondering if its good to get an Organic Chem background now...

Good thing is that you’re only a sophomore right now. First of all, you’re really lucky your school offers Organic Chemistry. I wish mine does. I definitely recommend it if you’re pursuing a medical career. It’s going to help you in the class that so many people fail at college. However, if you’re more interested in weighted GPA and college credits, take the AP’s. I think Organic Chemistry is more relevant though. If you can take them both in the next two years, I think it’s better to take the easier first to keep your GPA high (that would be AP Econ). Then take Organic Chemistry during your senior year since it’s regular I assume, and you’re only doing it for learning (interest too?). That’s what I would have done. Besides, two hard chemistry classes in one year? Not really cool :D. Good luck!

Just take one of those classes in college. You’re not going to get credit for high school organic chemistry or anatomy, right? However, if you pass both AP Economics exams you’re more likely to get credit so you can have more time to study or do what you want in college.

I agree with aldfig0. Okay, but pre-meds are not required to take anatomy at all while organic chemistry IS required, so it’s better if you take the latter. Besides, organic chemistry is harder, as I said before. Your choice should be obvious now.
