So I’m a sophomore majoring in chemical engineering. I’m currently taking organic chemistry now and so far I’m pulling an A. Next semester, I do not have to take another semester of orgo, but other schools require 2 semesters of orgo for chem engineering majors. Is orgo really necessary for chemical engineering? I’m debating whether or not I should take another semester of orgo.
If you’re planning to work in the Life or Food Sciences, I’d take the full Orgo. If all you want to do is get a job cooking oil, then go for the minimum.
