So my friend and I want to organize a fundraiser or drive this year that donates money to help build homes in Uganda for the impoverished. We aren't doing this as a part of any club and we want to involve our school Leadership and our entire student body. We're planning to talk to the activities director and hopefully everything will work out. I would love to get some advice from anybody has organized a school-wide fundraiser in the past and how to get it started...what all do I need to do? Are there any specific forms I need to fill out or anything? How long does the whole process take before I can start the fundraiser? Any advice would help! Thanks guys! :)

My school adopted on in Uganda through an organization (but forgot which).

If you want a temporary drive or fundraiser, ask ASB, Leadership, or whatever is your school’s leading student group.

If you want a yearlong operation (or longer), look for a willing teacher and create a new club. All you need are ideas and motivated members.

lemme know if you figure out what organization your school worked with for uganda! please and thank you :)

Our school partnered with ‘Invisible Children’, adopting a school in Uganda (the organization itself is trying to stop child soldiers in a civil war by putting them in school)

All we really did was raise money, send some supplies, and brought in speakers from the group to talk about the situation there.

There are other groups in different countries, and some might be more eager than others to initiate a new school.

(btw, if you do let your school join, thats a mega resume spotlight)
