<p>my$0.02: Thanks for your explanations. For me that’s a totally new way of thinking about polarity. I never even thought resonance and interaction between charges within a molecule could have an effect on overall polarity.
Such a concept was never mentioned or covered in lecture or assigned readings and then all of a sudden tested on the final. It was not even covered in my biochem 1 and 2, and it’s not something that you can just think about and then come up with. Some profs can surely be unreasonable at times…</p>
<p>OMG I just checked my final grades and I got A’s on both Orgo II and its lab. I’m really glad all my effort was worth it!</p>
