Orgo over the summer

I'm currently a junior Electrical & Computer Engineering and Biomedical Engineering major at Carnegie Mellon. Last spring, I took a course called Surgery for Engineers and in the summer I did neurosurgery research and spent a lot of time in the OR with a neurosurgeon. These two things made me decide that I want to go to medical school. However, I hadn't taken any chemistry yet as it wasn't required for either of my majors. So this year I took general chemistry. I want to take organic chemistry over the summer at University of Pittsburgh because Carnegie Mellon doesn't offer it in the summer. However, I have heard mixed things about whether medical schools dislike students doing this. I need to take it though so I can take my MCATs and apply to medical schools next year. So I was wondering if somebody could advise me on whether I should take it this summer. Thanks.

If taking Orgo at CMU is not possible because you have to fulfill requirements for your major (i.e. the only way to take orgo at CMU would be to overload or stay an extra semester/year), then no medical school will look unfavorably on you taking it at Pitt over the summer. Taking it at Pitt would raise red flags ONLY if CMU offered Orgo during summer session.
