In my orientation last year, the person running the workshop “time management” never showed up. No joke.

dude! that 3 hour talk about sex and drugs and alcohol was legendary.
some chick took the microphone and gave us the lecture about how she is in her first relationship. and then she screamed she was still a virgin, and then she was all like “and i almost had sex last night!”
it was definitely the highlight of my orientation…

=]

LMAO piinkpriinc3ss, that was hilarious. It had nothing to do with the subject either, which made it even more funny.

haha yeaaaaaaaa. and the dude on stage was all like “uhm yeaaaaa…wat?”
she was on something…
nonetheless, she made orientation 101 unforgettable!
oh, and the relationships pyramid was funny as well… “weird stuff” =]

lol…I won’t spoil it for people going to future sessions :P

Chrisxluna, since you put it that way, i might as well stay for the “only” fun part in the orientation , right? I am in orientation 109 so I better work out a plan A, B, C, D and E for scheduling my classes. I am in pre cognitive science(psychology), does anyone know if I there is still going to be any good GE classes left by the time I get there?

^^
uhm, well, GE classes are pretttty big. so i am almost sure you will find some good GEs, but the problem would be the discussion times. almost all the good discussion times are taken…
so you’ll end up having to go to a discussion at 6 pm (like me)
which isnt the most terrible thing ever, but ehh, it sort of sucks.

yeah discussions fill up kinda fast…
@ piinkpriinc3ss and ucla_ftw: which groups were you in?

■■■■■ about girl who was telling her life story…

uhm, i was in the undeclared people group. with Alejandra Cerros as my counselor.

■■■■■ at the girl! do a lot of people get lucky at orientation?

i was admitted as a physics major but want to change into neuroscience…since they group u with pple from the same major, will i be grouped with physics pple even though i would have changed to neuroscience or does the change of major process occcur before room assignments

@piinkpriinc3ss
lol I think my group merged with your group once… I was in the engineering group with John…

nah man its kinda random

last year i came in (and never changed) from biochem and i was in the neurosci group…

kinda stupid considering our prereqs were totally diff

That girl that shared her wonderful story with us during that presentation had me laughing like crazy, but I was also amazingly shocked she even said all that without any hesitation hahahaha

that girl had some balls.
and some terrible problems…
or just needed a psychologist.

nonetheless, four years from now… when I’ve graduated (hopefully)
I will remember her… oh I will…!

bump to say that the orientation group photos are out :)

@Hayu

Where are they?

orientation.ucla.edu

go to session photos.
