Hi everyone! :)
So I decided that we needed a thread for the chaos/freakout that will most likely ensue in around 11 hours. Just having incredible foresight!

I want to be sign up as early as possible. Also, I don't think I will be able to contain my excitement for being at UCLA for those few extra months.

I will be waking up at 5 am my time to sign up for orientation. 3 and a half hours after that, I will be sitting an exam that is a culmination of the last 2 years of my academic life. I can't wait. Like actually :)

Session 111 since I’m a citizen living abroad. BUT before I can sign up, I need to complete the frikkin’ loooooooooong educational planner haha xD

So, I’m confused which orientation date I should pick since I’m an international.
It depends on when I get my I-20/visa to enter the US. If I do pick an earlier date, can I reschedule it later?

Also, I received an e-mail from them. I’ll quote one of the paras:

When is this ‘Virtual Orientation’? Any idea?
I’ve heard that class registration is a battle there. I really hope I am able to register for those classes as an international

If you’re doing the session that’s in September (I think Session 112), you’ll do the virtual counseling, so that you can have your second pass with everyone else in the beginning of September (basically so you have an equal opportunity to enroll in the same classes as everyone else). If you’re in an earlier session, I would imagine you don’t need to worry about the virtual counseling since you’ll be here for the actual session.

And yes, you are able to reschedule your orientation session, as long as there are still spots open in other sessions. However, the Orientation Dept can’t guarantee that you’ll get a spot in any of the other sessions. Call the office at (310) 206-6685 if you have specific questions.
