Is the move in day before the 3 day orientation or after the orientation?
I’ve read that dorm check in day is Sept 2 & 3. Are these dates when the students move in?
Do the students in session 7 just take the essentials for orientation sleepover and then do a full move in?

In Session 7, you are assigned to your Frosh dorm room, and you will sleep there during Orientation. Whether you “move in” is up to you, i.e., you might want to wait until your Roomie shows up to upack together.

We found it much easier to move into the dorm before orientation. Room check-in starts at 9 AM and orientation doesn’t start until late afternoon, so that gives you plenty of time to get your student settled in (and also make those trips to Target and BB&B). That’s also what nearly all of the students attending Session #7 did. BC had plenty of upperclassmen eager to help with the move-ins; they were stationed in front of each dorm, and the process went quite smoothly.

Perhaps it makes a difference if your student is female (I don’t know, I only have sons), but I can’t imagine my son waiting to “unpack together” with his roommate! :D
