We're here at Pitt now, and so far, so good! My daughter has moved into her room and settling in. It was hectic, but I tried to keep my cool (not easy!). The Pitt students were helpful as always. Now we have to buy the stuff we forgot to bring (extension cords). I look forward to all the events tomorrow and Thursday.

Glad to see everyone's getting settled in! Move-in day is the toughest time of year.

I didn't find move in as bad as I thought it would be. Some of the police directing traffic were a little on the crabby side. I would say the worst part for us was pushing the carts full of stuff uphill on Lothrop and then going into an UN-aircondititoned room and unpacking when it was like 95 degrees and humid outside. Yes, we forgot a few things as well and had to shop for those items. Both mom and D were teary-eyed when leaving, but D had a lunch date with girl she had met at PittStart. When we called her to tell her we arrived home safely, she was laughing it up with her new found friend and all is well with the world.
