When are they? I cant find them anywhere..
Is there one right before move in day? I dont think my parents want to fly me out twice. Arizona is a tad too far away for that :/

Check your myNEU page. I saw some events listed.

i think there is one right before move in day for international students, and maybe you could contact someone from northeastern and explain your situation to them, and they would let you do that one. i'm not 100% sure though.

Orientation dates are by major. When you send your deposit, go to myneu.edu and you should be able to find the dates by clicking on the registration for orientation page. We are from CA and I did find out that there is one right before move in but not with your advisors from your major and you sign up for classes at orientation. I'm flying out with my son for orientation and power shopping then he is going alone for move in but we have family in the area to assist with move in.
If you aren't in that situation, you might do the one right before move in but see if you can get an advisor on the phone from your major to go over the classes thing. I know you can register online....

The only dates available to our son were June 19-20 and July 17-18. He will be freshman PharmD major. When I called the Office of Orientation, they did say that the sessions offered were the only ones that were set up for his major. We'll be flying out with him for the July session and then back in September for the move in. (We live in northern CA and JetBlue offers some relatively low fares.)

We were also told by the office that online registration was for continuing students only and that orientation was mandatory for freshmen (at which time you would be allowed to register for classes.) Maybe "ebeeeee" got different information from someone else though.

Sorry creasemonkey, I read somewhere about students registering online and got the impression it was freshmen. I think you are correct, register at orientation only. We are also going to the 7/17 session and my son is a CJ major. By the way, there is a home red sox game on 7/18...for all you baseball fans.

I'm going to the 17th-18th orientation also (Computer Science major).. seems to be a popular date.
