So for those with experience, do most ppl stay in touch with orietnation friends or do those friendships usually not last?

totally depends on you and them and how much effort you put into it.

mostly no. i stayed in touch with one.

you'll always remember them on campus and say hi, though.

this is true. i saw people i met at orientation all the time and never really spoke to them.

seeing them at graduation brought a certain eerie degree of symmetry to my college experience.

what allie said.

i still keep in touch with mine.

bannana_girl: Which OC's group were you in?

Or some people don't really meet new people at orientation because they went with friends from high school.

Second what ucapplicant05 said.

Oh really? :o

hilary's group

I didn't keep in touch with any... half of my group were freakin quiet and just sat there most of the time, saying nothing. It sucked.

To ucapplicant05:

I managed to meet people despite going with a HS friend. Neener neener neeeeener.

ahaha i loved my orientation group! since im in engineering and they split us up by major, it was me and 9 guys.

Was Simon your OC?

It mostly depends but chances are, in a year you won't be close with more than 2-3 of them.

Asiangirlie, were you in session 101? I saw an engineering group @ 101 with all guys and one girl.

session 101?

if you guys remember the screaming group from the final tour, that was my group =]

nopeee. i was in orientation 103. i think the all guys/one girl is pretty much standard...haha

cantCme, what major was your group for orientation? I can't remember any screaming that stood out.

we were the biochem-ers.

every time we spotted another group during the tour, we would just scream loudly and keep walking.

if you didn't see us during tour, you may remember some of our group members also as members of the Cougars from Carpe Noctem. haha
