When are we notified to sign up for housing?

i think it depends on the school..

For the college?

ok, for instance, my orientation is june 26th-28th...but that's for Gallatin...i don't think that holds for the rest of the schools...

and i dont know about housing..some people have their forms online...while others dont...

I do not.

Will this be sent by email?

No...it'll be on NYU Home...but Orientation info should be mailed to you

Do we get a guaranteed choice?

thanks sue! do you know how long it takes to be able to access this?

should be pretty much instantly, once you go thru the steps

I can't log on to Nyu home:
According to our records, you have performed the on-line portion of your NetID activation, and must now visit an on-campus location in order to complete the activation process.

And i can't access anything.

Are any of the distances from freshmen dorms to classes very long?...And are any in undesirable areas?

Anyone know?

None of the distances are very far. If you are going to Tisch, U-hall and Third North are the closest. If CAS or Stern, Washington Square traditional dorms are the closest. Both areas are amazing places in NYC to live. At worst you will have a 10-15 minute walk ,which is nothing if you live in NYC. As a NYKer you get used to walking everywhere. Walking in NYC is not a chore, because there is always so much going on around you, that it is hard to get bored doing it.

Thank you, lmaty.
