So, on my applicant center, I got a new link that says “Orientation information,” except when I get to page 3 it says there aren’t any available dates?

Anyone else having the same issue?

So, on my applicant center, I got a new link that says “Orientation information,” except when I get to page 3 it says there aren’t any available dates?

I have it there now too, but mine won’t even click into the dates, just keeps loading.

Yeah, for mine I can click the link and it loads for a few seconds, but then just stops.

You should try again. Some people (myself included) were able to register for orientation.

Don’t want to hijack the thread or anything, but I need some help. I signed up for the admitted students tour for tomorrow morning, but I have no idea where it starts and where I meet the tour guide. Anybody know?

Admitted student events start at Ohio Union

Captain McNeil, were you able to purchase the housing plan when you registered for orientation? I could choose a date, but couldn’t get the housing info to come up. I didn’t get a confirmation either, so I’m wondering if registering the date isn’t complete until you sign up for housing.

Never mind…I got it. :)

How are you guys getting it to work? Does it just load for you or did you have to do something special to it?

Mine still says no available dates :/

And what do you mean housing to come up? You can get to it from the student center…? I thought you had to have the email

Nevermind turns out I just had to call the orientation office. June 10th!

I meant the housing for orientation, but it just turned out that my pop-up was blocked.

I got mine done too, I emailed the orientation office and they sent me a different link into it.

Just realized why it wouldn’t load for me all this time. I was trying to access the Orientation Information link from my Student Center, and instead had to access it from my Applicant. I wish I could have figured that out before I reserved my date over the phone But I was able to do my housing and dining online once I figured out where I had to go.

Do you guys know anything about the housing…? Is it just for the students? What’s the purpose of it, I mean why would we stay there?

@imperio

I just scheduled orientation last night, but I did not do housing. I don’t think it’s mandatory to stay on campus and I can’t think of any reason why we would. Please correct me if I’m wrong.

@imperio its there in a case the student and guest’s are coming from OOS or don’t live in Columbus, so they have accommodation for the day before and after orientation to stay somewhere.

Yeah but the housing is only for students… You can only get a lunch package for the parents. So is it for kids who don’t have a parent coming with them or something?

I was there four years ago with my oldest son. I believe most students stayed in the dorm overnight. They had a lot of activities for students going on after the regular orientation day was over.

I think parents can actually stay as well. At least it was that way when I was there four years ago. I chose to stay in a hotel. We live about three hours away from OSU.
