Orientation question

Hello everyone! I am going to UCLA :D
I am an international student, and there are 2 orientations, one for freshmen and one for international kids. Am I supposed to attend both of them? or only the international one.
I saw that session 111 is only for internationals while sessions 101 to 110 were for all incoming students.
So am I only required to attend the international one or both of them.
And if i am required to attend only one, would it be better if I attended both?

I don’t know the specific answer to your question, but in general you want to go to the earliest orientation session you can because it means that you can sign up for classes earlier.

I’m not sure about the answer to your question, but I’m sure someone could help you if you contact the New Students and Transitions Programs office. Their website (with their contact info) is [UCLA New Student & Transition Programs - Welcome](http://orientation.ucla.edu/)

Hope that helps!

Just one. The sessions that start with “1” (101, 102, 107, 110, etc) are for freshmen. The ones that start with “2” are for transfers.

The reason the international one is scheduled when it is scheduled is because it would make sense for most international students to go to campus just once (when they move to L.A.). So session 111 is the last session, closest to the beginning of the school year.

But if you happen to be able to go to a non-international session, that should be sufficient.

The major downside of going to session 111 is that it’s the last session and some classes may be full by then. But I’m sure the orientation office has anticipated that and they will likely try to hold off several course seat for the students in the international session.
