Orientation Question

I have my Honors orientation July 17-18.

For the parent part on their website, there's only an agenda for the first day. Does this mean my parents don't need to take work off and plan on being in College Park that day, or is it just missing from the website that they actually do have to be there?

If you are IS, no need for them to be there the second day (other than pick up) because there is no formal programming.

If you are OOS, then they will need to either be there to transport you home when you are done in the early afternoon or arrange for transportation for you. Most OOS parents stay locally overnight and have the option to take tours (small fee) of Annapolis, or Baltimore or DC OR can just do stuff on their own either in the area or at any of those locations. I personally used the opportunity to meet up with old friends (I’m an alum so I do have some in the area) and open up local bank account (would NOT recommend Bank of America).

@RoscoeDash - here is a summary of the Honors Orientation, we attended on Jun 9 -10. My wife and I took the Annapolis trip (we are local). It was Very enjoyable, even though it was rainy that day,

Alright, we’re in-state so they’ll just do their normal day. Thank you!
