ya they say the orientation session you go to doesn't effect your chances of getting the classes you want, but who really knows if they mean it.

Question 12 answers it

Son going June 27-28th.

Awesome, there are so many people going on the 27-28! We should all have lunch/dinner together :)

We should all carry signs that say CC! :p

Edit: Hey, I'm 1 post behind Misoobishi!

My daughter will also be at Orientation June 27-28. :)

Anyone have any idea what the chances are of getting into a "Learning Community" if you just applied online this weekend? The brochure says the final registering is taken care of at Orientation so we were hoping she might get in to the one that interests her (Classical Mythology/Intro to Cinema), but we wondered how many people might have signed up when they were accepted way back in March or whatever. It sounds like a neat idea.

I believe they feed you at Orientation, so everyone WILL already be eating together anyway--maybe you can grab tables together tho--would be interesting to see who you've been cyberpals with all this time.

The whole classes slotted for different orientation times is true. However, I believe when you do apply for classes, they show you how online. So if you didn't get the class you wanted at orientation, you can just keep checking back later online and sign up when new seats are available....I think.

I asked an admissions person, and she said that everyone will pretty much get the classes they want, but if you want a certain time (i.e. NOT 8:00), then you'll have to go to an earlier session. So ya, everyone join me on June 8th and we'll party it up.

I think I'm going to the #2 session... I really REALLY want my usc email & facebook ASAP

Does the earlier orientation date mean that u get a better shot at classes?

27-28...looks like we have a plurality.

I'm going to the June 8/9 orientation. Even if I can get the classes I want later, I just want to make sure I get them at good times!
Plus, I'm so excited about Orientation that I don't think I can wait until the end of June.

is anybody going to session #3?

it sounds like everyone's going to the first one or the 27/28, and i wanna meet people!

I'm going June 8/9 too!! Hopefully I can meet some of you!

july 13/14...ill be there on my birthday.

what day is your birthday? Mine's july 14th....

the 13th...

June 27-28
Question to those parents that are going... are you staying in dorms or at a hotel of your choosing? Do they provide linens at the dorms and are there students mixed in with the parents=loud :)

Oh, are you guys going with your parents? I'm just going by myself....
