Orientation Signup Fail?

<h2>I think they've failed at letting people sign up. I was on MyUCLA at 3pm PST ready to do my thing, and then at about 3:10pm PST they say it's been delayed and we should wait on the page. So i do that. Then about 15-20 mins later that goes away and an orientation icon comes up as well as a listing under the Academics section of my sidebar. I tried on two computers for about 30 mins to get to the next page but after that time expired it gave me a page that read:</h2>

<p>The page cannot be displayed
The request cannot be processed at this time.
The amount of traffic exceeds the Web site's configured capacity.
Please try the following:
* Click the Refresh button, or try again later.
* If this error persists, contact the Web site administrator to inform them that this error continues to occur for this URL address.
HTTP Error 500.13 - Server error: Web server is too busy.
Internet Information Services (IIS)
Technical Information (for support personnel)
* Go to Microsoft Product Support Services and perform a title search for the words HTTP and 500.</p>

<h2> * Open IIS Help, which is accessible in IIS Manager (inetmgr), and search for topics titled Monitoring and Tuning Web Application Performance, Performance Monitoring and Scalability Tools, and About Custom Error Messages.</h2>

<p>So basically im just a little frustrated that my opportunity to register for a seminar that dictates when i register for classes may be taken away from me, thus possibly affecting my future. Just some food for thought. Anyone else experiencing these problems?</p>

<p>Based on the above thread, what worked fo some posters

  • logout, close browser, login again
  • go to the library, neighbor to use another computer on a different network
  • call someone else to try for you</p>

<p>Of course, it works now, two and a half hours after i should’ve been able to sign up. Thanks UCLA, but if i dont get my friggin courses i deserve, some heads are gonna roll.</p>
