Just thought i would post that you should be able to sign up for orientation on My.UCLA.

Woohoo! I signed up for the first session from the 10th to the 12th... and I'm leaving for vacation 'till late August on the 14th... so lucky I got the dates I wanted! =]

is myucla down? i cant get in

what is the educational planner anyway? is it something that they use to pair us into orientation groups?

not sure...from what I read though, the college counselors use it to advise you with course decisions and interests when you are choosing courses at orientation. hope i helped some

You can always go back and edit the Educational Planner prior to the actual session. It is accessible from MyUCLA.

if i signed up for session 101, is it still possible for me to change to session 103?

Yes, but it will cost you $10.

Why is almost everyone signing up for session 101?

UCLA says that "Since the results of the spring AP or IB Tests are not generally available prior to July 15 and since UCLA will not receive your scores earlier than you do yourself, you may wish to consider attending an Orientation session after this date."

What should we do if we need to change orientation sessions? I accidently signed up for 107 when I meant 106.

neo, you can call AP early and self report scores

what if u decide not to call early and pay the fee to get your scores? you wont have it at orientation so what happens?

^ So I guess the only way out is to actually call and spend the $15. Think of it as an investment...

Is there a benefit to going to orientation early?

Last year, the AP scores were available June 29 according to another CC poster. If this year is like last, there shouldn't be a problem.

You get to sign up for classes before people who are in later orientations. Therefore people in the latest orientations have the least options when it comes to choosing classes.

wut kinds of classes fill up the fastest and what classes do most freshmen take 1st quarter? does it depend on major or do most people choose to do similar GE classes and thats why some popular classes fill up so fast??

why do you need ap scores for orientation?

^So that you can satisfy placement (i.e. for calculus + english) and perhaps not have to take a test... or so you can get rid of req and move to another level.

hey if i change my orientation session by calling them, how would i pay the 10 dollars? i plan to do it at school tomorrow since i don't have time at home and they are closed by then. should i bring along my parents credit card or something or what do i need to change for the change?

hun, its probably on URSA, but bring daddy's credit card just in case.
